Having met in 2015 on one of Jessica’s short-term mission trips to Cuba, Yunior and Jessica are now married and living in La Habana, Cuba. They are both passionate to reach the Cuban people with the message of hope in Jesus Christ.
Since Yunior works as a journalist and announcer for an international Caribbean news channel, God has opened many doors to serve local churches and families with his gifts. Jessica loves to teach, and she’s beginning to use that gift to teach English classes for all age levels where she can share the love of Jesus. They both love to teach the bible, lead worship and share the hope of Jesus wherever possible.
Yunior and Jessica have a heart for the upcoming generations of youth and children. While they do a lot of work inside the local church that focuses on men, women, youth, and children, their primary focus in ministry is to spread the gospel to the next generation through teaching, preaching, and evangelism. Yunior’s position for the last decade as the national president of the youth for Iglesia de Dios en Cuba has opened the doors for continued influence with youth around the country, and Jessica’s experience as a teacher and children’s minister in the United States has opened opportunities to serve children in many churches and communities. Yunior and Jessica also have a heart for the people of Cuba, and Yunior’s insight as a native Cuban into the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the Cuban people has been invaluable.
