As the Prayer Facilitator for both the non-profit anti-trafficking ministry, Bridges4Justice, and The 6:8 Gospel of the Evangelical Free Church of America, I support the work of Biblical justice locally and globally by facilitating intercession as well as encouraging, mobilizing, engaging, and equipping the Body of Christ in fulfilling the Great Commission and living out God’s requirements in Micah 6:8. Based in Florida, I serve the Lord by standing in the gap for the oppressed, hurting, and trafficked.
In 2008, as a pastor’s wife in a small town in Indiana, I became aware of human trafficking. At first, I thought it was so evil that I didn’t want to believe it was happening. Yet God continued to make me aware of the horrible reality of sex slavery in our world today. I began praying “Lord, if I have to know about this evil, please give me a way to make a difference!”
In response to my desperate prayer to make a difference, the Lord began to bring together my passions of seeing people come to know Jesus Christ personally, praying for the nations, and seeing human trafficking end. God connected me with like-minded, justice-hearted believers in Jesus with whom I could join in seeking the God of justice for the freedom and salvation of at-risk or trafficked persons. About that same time, I sensed the Lord calling me to be a “house of prayer for all nations” (Mark 11:17). I believe human trafficking is first a spiritual battle that must be fought through individual and corporate intercession. Prayer is foundational to the work of justice and is also essential in sustaining those on the frontlines of anti-trafficking ministry who are susceptible to burn-out.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as a Ripe for Harvest missionary and devote myself to anti-trafficking intercession and ministry. It is the Holy Spirit whose power is at work in me as a freedom fighter. He is truly the Difference-Maker!
Thank you for your interest, prayers, and support!
