Joyner, Sharon Leighton #20380

Formerly a country singer, in 1982, Sharon began writing Country/Gospel and other Christian music. Her first gospel recording on CD, AGAINST ALL ODDS, is a compilation of 11 of those songs and the second CD, IT’S NEVER TOO LATE has 10 originals and one standard hymn. Sharon joined Ripe for Harvest in 2012. She joined CGMA (Country Gospel Music Association) in 2004 AND HAS BEEN AWARDED 11 Silver Heart Awards 2004 – 2018 (New female artist, 3 Psalmist, 3 Lyricist, Favorite artist, Mentor, Children’s Ministry, and Song of the year.) She has worked for The JESUS Film Project® (JFP), a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ for more than 25 years as a professional development representative, raising money to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through the film, JESUS, and other products.  Sharon sings wherever doors open, even in the secular field where she is able to take the gospel through her music to a lost and dying world. January 2, 2015, Sharon lost her beloved husband, Marvin, due to congestive heart failure. Her goal now is to focus more on doing what God has called her to do. She is available to share her testimony in word and in song wherever the Lord leads.
