My first priority has been traveling abroad to teach at Bible Schools, pastor training centers and seminary. I have made three trips in the past year. My focus is Russian speaking countries since that is where almost all my experience abroad has been. In the past, I have worked with the North American Baptists, Russian Leadership Ministries/Moscow Theological Seminary and Odesa Theological Seminary (Odesa Ukraine), and Central Asia Leadership and Training Center in Almaty, Kazakhstan. I have also served at a number of extension schools in Rostov-na-danu, Russia, Novokuznetsk, Russia, Almaty, Kazakhstan, and Ust-Kaminigorsk, Kazakhstan.

My objective is to help develop the next generation of pastors and church leaders in former soviet, Russian-speaking countries. I expect to continue to make quarterly trips, such as the one I just made to Almaty, Kazakhstan, where I taught Christology & Pneumatology for an extension school of Grace School of Theology in Houston, Texas.

My focus in the U.S, when I am not preparing for a teaching trip includes the following:

  1. Helping my home church develop outreach and assimilation strategies.
  2. Helping with church planting planning efforts.
  3. Jail Ministry. This is in a developmental stage, as we have recently moved to Waco, Texas from Red Bluff, California. In Red Bluff, I worked with Eileen Taylor, an RFH worker who is the Jail Chaplain in the Tehama County Jail. I am currently seeking to get Chaplain Credentialing (both jail and hospital chaplaincy certified).
  4. Helps Ministry. I’m in the process of connecting to and partnering with a number of ministries including Habitat for Humanity and Samaritans Purse.
