Chavez, Jhon & Rachel #20180

The Chavez family serves in southeastern Peru in a city called Puno – a beautiful city located on Lake Titicaca. They moved to Peru in 2017 with the goal of church planting, and ultimately equipping Peruvian men to be leaders and pastors in the local church. Jhon was born and raised in Peru, and his heart’s desire is to see his people come to know the true gospel. Reformed Baptist Church of Puno was planted in 2021, where Jhon is the pastor, and the Lord has continued to grow the church through membership and baptism. By His grace, the church is filled with faithful and passionate Believers who also desire to see Christ’s name and the true gospel exalted in the region of Puno. Rachel has had opportunities to teach English to university students in past years, however, her main ministry in this season has revolved around the home – encouraging Jhon and homeschooling their two children, Judah and Isabella.
