Bob and Jody Buck have ministered and served in the USA, Canada and Costa Rica for a number of years. Evangelism, discipleship, church planting, training leaders and family ministry has been their focus. They have also led small groups. Bob has been a part of pastoral ministry and mission teams, taking the gospel to many countries. They have also served in inner-city ministry.
The Bucks enjoy cooking and preparing meals to take to the emergency shelters. They also buy basic food staples for the poor. The joy of seeing the hungry fed physically and spiritually is overwhelming. The Lord destined the poor to be rich in faith. Their hearts break as they see many children go through the day without eating or scrounging around garbage heaps for food.
They are currently living and serving in the US but are making plans to return to serve in Costa Rica where there is a group of believers who need to be discipled. They will help them to find a pastor and build a church. Evangelism, discipleship, and church planting will continue to be their focus. The tragic truth in today’s missions is that many converts are made but they are not discipled. Bob and Jody have a call and passion to train up disciples who will go out and make other disciples for the glory of God. A true disciple of Jesus Christ is one who is totally committed to the lordship of Christ and to the obedience of His unfailing word.
