I’m H. I believe God has called me to go and to prepare the way for other disciple makers and teachers by helping in the process of translating the Bible and also eventually ensuring that believers have the kinds of Biblical aids available that we have in English, such as lexicons, concordances, and commentaries. My training will make clearer what part of that process I will assist in, whether it be as a translation advisor supporting mother tongue translators, or as a developer of literacy materials to help those who need it to be able to learn how to read and write their own languages. In order to prepare for this role, I will study Applied Linguistics at a university in SE Asia. There I will gain the skills necessary to serve in Bible translation and find the team where I will eventually assist in the Bible Translation process.
